i woke up at 5.00 GMT (do the math) on september 5th, and while waiting for for my Apple homepage to load on Safari, it was all i could do to breathe regularly...
and when the image of the new lines of iPods appeared, the excitement i felt at discovering what was in store was something i've not experienced for a long time...
and i spent the next few hours clicking away, committing to memory the specifications and price comparisons, finally coming to this conclusion -
i REALLY want the iPod Touch!
when i got back from school i immediately watched the hour and a half-long keynote address (it wasn't available earlier), and i'm beyond jealous that i don't live in the states and can't enjoy any of the cool stuff... for goodness sake, i don't even have a friggin' iTunes store here!
i've not come across a company that has the same marketing power as Apple, and i've never looked backed once since joining the Apple revolution when i bought my iBook and first iPod in '05...
econs today was a little more useful and un-boring than yesterday, probably 'cos it was a small class of just 9 of us...
post-lesson, i joined mel/gerald in the sac for coffee/food/chat and waited for mel to finish her chinese assignment before heading out...
and just like yesterday, i spent this afternoon playing with the cute-ness that is FACEBOOK...
honestly, there's nothing particularly novel about it, just that it has tonnes of interactive cute thingamajiggies to try out and waste your time with...
tomorrow's econs and history, and worship pract at night...
method acting,
John.
