Heya one and all... just taking some time off work to post a blog and let off some steam... Firstly, Gavel is starting to get a little boring, as i have seen tofay... if every session is identical to the one today, i think i will die... its just so draggy and dull!! this is the basic agenda for each and EVERY meeting: President sets out items to be coverd, introduces "Toastmaster for the day" adn other speakers. Toastmaster introduces Table Topics person, who lays out 6 topics to be spoken about by 6 "voluntary" speakers. Toastmaster introduces project speakers. Speakers speak. Toastmaster introduces evaluators. Evaluators evaluate. President sums up meeting, announces announcements. Everyone leaves hurridly, glad that the meeting is over.
....Its the lack of variety and enthusiasm that drives me crazy, and at the same time makes me pity the poor Gavel members and above all President. how they live thru this is by far a mystery.
....Ms Rajan... sigh... very stubborn...sigh...
For now, at least that was the last meeting of the term and hopefully the rest of my LIFE...
