The pursuit of

There's this phrase in French that doesn't quite have an English equivalent, and which I'm prone to using: 'je ne sais quoi', roughly translated as 'I don't know what'. For me, a better translation would be "that which cannot be described". Much of life, for me, is given over to the pursuit of this which cannot be accurately described. It is found in waking early with nothing to do and hence joining 2 great friends at a gym in tampines; in a shared subway sub or under a shared umbrella; or watching Volver over a bowl of macaroni soup and Lays chips from thailand.
