as promised, i stuck to Poetry, not even bothering to read the Prose passage, and something must be said about the poems they keep giving us - they're really not your average poems...
first it was Sandpiper, a poem about a bird that, in actuality, was a Blakian-naturalist commentary on the infinite truth or literature...
today's one was titled The Fish In The Stone, another deceivingly simple poem which you can read in one breath, but the ambiguity of its meaning opens it up to a million possibilities, some of which i mentioned in my own commentary, though i never did quite see its critique-on-literature trope which, coincidentally, was present in the previous test as well...
oh well, it was at the end of a long day and i was nursing a migraine, so i did what i could in what capacity i had...
i am proud of not making any penmanship mistakes - managed to blanko and write over whatever errors, so at least all 4 pages are uniformly (ok not quite, towards the end i was rushing so yeap) neat...
decided to take 74 with some of my classmates so i could chat for at least half my journey home, and that was when i decided to give myself a little pre-birthday gift - on a complete whim, i hopped off 74, jumped on a 174 and headed to plaza sing's sistic counter to buy a ticket to WE WILL ROCK YOU for the eve of my birthday...
i know i have a paper and everything the next day, but i've heard quite a bit about the show, so i thought i'd check it out...
so now its back to Calculus...
apparently we'll be getting the data booklet with all the formulae and everything...
any singaporean student who ever took A Math will tell you that that is tantamount to cheating - what the heck do you need to study if all the rules and stuff are right in front of you??
i went thorough two years of that, so i ain't complainin' about the test tomorrow...
apparently either one of the math tests on week 6 and 7 are con-camp liable, so can't screw either one up...
mercifully, there won't be a chem test...
so its econs on labour day eve, and history on week 7, then i'm done...
and i just gazed as you made your way across the road(:
