i never really planned to attend Love/Retreat, the Theatre Arts class of '08 play, until very recently when my class wanted to make an outing out of it, but i have to say that it has made for an incredible end to the week...

so i didn't quite get the free periods i was hoping for, which meant i didn't get as much chem studying in as i would have liked, but the test turned out to be a carbon (haha, chem term no?) copy of the tutorial we had already done...
sadly, i've already located one mistake i made, so hopefully that's the only one...
we were released right after the test, so we had more than half an hour to burn until school ended, so was chatting with some classmates until it was time to head upstairs for the "what to say in an interview" briefing by the principal 'cos there are six of us (Ronald, Tien En, Clifton, Kevin and Ian) going for the SPF Book Prize interviews the following monday...
that went by quickly, leaving me more than enough time to head home and get ready for the play in the evening...
met clarence on the way so had some company while heading back...
with all that time on my hand, i did what i needed to do in a few hours, but i knew that if i stayed at home i would have falled asleep and felt terrible after, so decided to head to sean's place for some mahjong with deon/han an before going to school...
Love/Retreat itself turned out to be a short, succinct and thoroughly enjoyable performance...
there was extreme hilarity and sufficient depth to make it a pretty good play...
after a semi-successful attempt to take a class photo, we headed to holland v, taking a short detour to pay Lex a visit at the basketball courts...
on the bus there, Mel realized her watch wasn't on her wrist, and while ppl were calling others who were still at the bus stop, it suddenly occurred to me that i knew where it was - something had fallen on the ground behind me while we were walking along the unlit portion of the basketball court, and i thought it was just a twig...
so Mel gave my directions to Lex who successfully found the missing timepiece...
we headed to Swensens, and unlike the time at Brewerkz, there was quite a bit of surplus from the bill, so we put it in the rather small class fund...

i'm really glad i had the chance to take a break tonight before i dive into the work for the weekend, 'cos i don't think weeks 8 to 10 will offer me any free time to do anything of this sort...
but  the fun from tonight should last till term ends =)

and when i got the chance watch you closely, it took my breath away.
