AMI top 10 girls was perhaps the worst performance night on record, and at least we're getting somewhere with the necessary eliminations...
the top 12 and idol gives back shows seem to be gearing up to be pretty big...
thursday's english practical was another rather surreal period, and i just spent it doing my mock IOC prep...
honestly, i don't quite get what the deal is with 'oh my ex-students are demigods, let me show you their work which i sacrificed time blood sweat tears hair for'
back when they were at where we are now i hardly think that was the general sentiment, and i dare say when it comes to the crunch, those of us who've got it will show it...
no overconfidence here, simply mutual venting, no?
academic awards' presentation today, and it was deathly boring for the first hour or so in school, so spent it chatting with han an at various venues around the school before we got chased back in my s.sim/p.soo...
met up with sean for some AMI chat in the SAC while waiting for the re-pre-yls briefing to begin...
that went by quickly, mercifully, and coupled with Sarina's email, i thought i'd send out an email to Chamber 19 to keep everyone on track...
i'm normally a little skeptical about this stuff 'cos i'm a sucker for well-run MUNs and stuff, but what andrew said during the briefing made me think - if we're to make applicability our main directive, the general summit mindset has to be slightly different...
i felt pleasantly surprised and satisfied after the briefing and sending out the chamber mail...
met jim while heading off from school, and apparently he was meeting some of our classmates for lunch in town, but i had stuff to do so declined the kind invite...
oh and Gen just texted us to get band concert tickets from her for the 24th performance at the esplanade, and she mentioned that it was on her birthday, so i guess we'll be pretty compelled to fork out the 20-odd dollars for that... =)
that's a day before Maroon 5, and 3 days before KT Tunstall, neither of which i've decided whether i'm going for yet...
oh and 5 days before YLS of course, so my 29th is kinda burnt, ruling out Fun-O-Rama i guess, though i wasn't particularly interested in going or anything...
one more day of school in week 6 tomorrow, with lunch plans post-founders' day, and hopefully some time to get my world lit done before Sunday...
