having just gotten back past midnight for the second day in a row, it took me a while before i could gather my thoughts and recount the events of the day, partly 'cos i'm still a little high on the adrenaline from laughing, and partly 'cos i had to arrange tomorrow's plans with han an...
we're going for lunch et cetera with chups after dunno how long =)
singing for worship this morning meant that i had to recover quickly from the action of resident evil the previous night, which meant that 4 hours of sleep kinda left me with sleepy spells throughout the day, particularly in cabs and stuff...
post-church, rachh/jake/adriel/sam/me cabbed down to taka to have lunch at mos burger after which adriel left for work...
strangely the cab driver didn't seem to give a hoot about the $70 fine for ferrying 5 ppl in his cab, but i ain't complaining...
then it was back into a cab to sam's place for an afternoon of mahjong where sher came along, punctuated by constant glances towards the screen which was showing Music & Lyrics and Blood Diamond, two pretty good shows, though the latter is superior, particularly in musical score and supporting cast...
i left with them to take a bus down to jelita to grab drinks/cups/ice (yay me the bringer of additional ice) before cabbing (short distance i know, but 5 large bottles of drinks + 2.5kg of ice + marshmallows can really make walking a hassle) to joash's place...
watching Taxi was funny, and on second viewing i caught alot of the jokes i didn't get back in '04...
oh and food was excellent, particularly elliot's spiced sausage spaghetti...
but what was definitely my highlight of the evening was pictionary!
cielo/elliot/chunwui/me were kinda on the slower team, but we were getting some ridiculously hard things to draw, and like i told justin, i really am quite bad at still life depictions x)
that said, it was the hardest i laughed in a long time, from AXE(er)SIZE to HAY(fever)man-sucking-reverse-lollipop...
watching Flashpoint, the Donny Yen martial arts movie really put The Brave One in perspective - the blood this time round was not gratuitous at all, and the marshall arts was beyond adrenaline, it was like jet li on steroids... brilliant choreography, and an interesting end to an excellent weekend (which hasn't quite ended 'cos there's more of it tomorrow)
i didn't stay over at joash's place 'cos of the aforementioned lunch appointment...
and from what i hear a number of other classes are having gatherings today/tomorrow, and it feels kinda fun to be part of this whole level phenomenon, though of course the five.nine parties are just way fun, for'real =)
oh and merv's trying to organize a four.eleven thingy on friday (the day results come out!!), so that's something to look forward too as well...
apart from that, its just attachment, second OEP and the year is kinda over...
has 2007 really passed by that quickly?
fun weekends induce reflection, for no fathomable reason whatsoever =)
Do it real well,
John.
