since i just came back from worship pract and am gonna turn in really soon coz of training/spar with vj early tomorrow morning, this will be a 2-in-1 post...

one thing i forgot to mention in yesterday's post was the new classroom seating arrangement... from our novel and perfectly functional U-shaped board-room style, the wishes and architectural prowess of a certain math teacher has left five.nine looking like a crazy person was given free reign (which wouldn't be far from the truth if you think about it)
but whatever, i move seats or rooms for every lesson, so it doesn't really matter...

friday week b was useless as always, considering i have an hour of chinese (in which we didn't have the same luck as 5.6 to accidentally have our results revealed by tj), an hour of chem, a 40-min period of econs (the single most misplaced period in the 2-week timetable) and PE...
post-PE, we were in class talking/playing cards, when this short exchange took place -

(after a rather tense hand of cards was completed)
chun wui: "we should invest in a good SPANK PADDLE!"
cielo (seemingly unrelated to the previous outburst): "don't touch my BRA FAN!"

don't get it?
allow me to explain through interpretive dance

post-school, i spent 2odd hours talking to han an/francois/mary ang/asykin in the sac before going to look for deon and leaving after the theatre thing started...

second part of this post is an update on sam's team's progress in korea after day 3 -

Round 5: This House Believes That The USA Should Withdraw From Its Military Bases in Asia
Singapore Proposing against Romania Opposing
Singapore win unanimously

Round 6: This House Would Legalize All Drugs
Singapore Opposing against Wales Proposing
in a split decision (i dare say unexpectedly), Singapore win!

this is rather exciting - Singapore now stand at 5-1 with England (who lost to Israel in a split decision), and Hong Kong (probably Scotland and Australia also after the Bye rounds later this week), while the only team with 6-0 is Ireland... strangely, Ireland only have bagged 15 judges (along with Hong Kong)  as they won they have had a number of split-decision wins, while England are top with 16 (though will probably be joined by Aus and Scot, or they may win in a split and get 15 instead, we'll see), and Singapore stands alone with 14...

go sam and gang!

sober,
