playing for worship today went normally, though we axed song 4 coz there wasn't enough time...
if there was anything interesting that went on today it would have to be zhao ming's return after 3 years in aussie... ok so he's known as andrew now, but myself and many others can't forget his chinese name... x) i knew he would have an accent, but i never exepcted it to be that strong! but in terms of personality he doesn't seem to have changed much...
anyway here's a shoutout if you read blogs yeah, though i think its mostly friendster messages that are the main means of cross-continental communication so it seems...
the prelim rounds at WSDC '07 drew to a close a few hours back, and here are the proceedings for sam's team:
Round 7: This House believes that free trade harms the developing world
Singapore Opposing against India Proposing
Singapore win unanimously
Round 8: This House would limit media reporting of terrorist atrocities
Singapore Proposing against Canada Opposing
Singapore win in a split (canada was one of the 3 countries that singapore could have lost to, the others being wales and england)
so with a 7-1 win margin and 19 ballots won, Singapore break into the Octo-finals in joint 3rd (with Australia and Scotland) after leaders Ireland (8-0, 21 ballots) and joint runners-up England and Hong Kong (7-1, 21 ballots)
