national day...
not that singapore isn't a relatively nice place to live in or anything, but the whole celebratory routines in schools are far too perfunctory for anyone's liking...
and in nj, the college of the nation, it was more so than anything i've experienced...
woke up late and forgot that the roads would be really jammed up, so arrived in school at 750...
not surprising that as i got off the bus, a teacher also got off...
so i was pretty comfortable with waltzing in late behind the teacher so no one could say anything...
but strange thing was that there were throngs of ppl still going into the gate at the same time...
i guess it was anticipated that alota ppl would be late...
i still had time to chat a bit before assembly started...
the whole ceremony was so routine it was almost scary...
"now we will sing the national anthem"
"we will now have the playing of the national day song"
goodness...
the ground was wet from the rain, so i haf to carry my uber heavy bag with my mac for dunno how long...
went to class to rip cherry's sonicflood's "this generation"
played a few rounds of bridge before going to lt5 to watch the mini-concert thingum...
lots of dancing... quite cool...
it was community service day (??!!) so our class was assigned these small kids we're supposed to look after...
jo, cherry, celle and i just walked out without getting a kid... hahas...
walked around aimlessly, stopped at the hopscotch place to tok to joel and tis...
went to the canteen to eat, drink and chat, waiting for the time to be released...
11am rolled around and we went to class to grab our bags...
came back to my place to build the cell..
its not coming on too good...
but whatever for now...
need to concentrate on maths and the ih essay...
