An enquiry from the 4th floor rattled me, but a little Scripture granted the peace so sorely needed.

A little bit of theology
The forty-six, or forty not counting Sundays, days that separate Ash Wednesday and Easter are the season of Lent. That both Easter Sunday and Easter Monday appear boldly on the A1-sized calendar on my desk at work are nice reminders that, despite the other things I oppose in the office, there's still room for a bit of Christianity.

Influence
There's a nice little essay in Rushdie's Step Across This Line in which he expounds on the concept of influence on a writer's writings. To borrow this idea very loosely, I have come to realize that where I am, in terms of the space I occupy and the place and position I'm in where life (however you think about it in it's entirety) is very much dependent on who I am around for the longest periods of time. This is a new discovery that sheds tremendous light on the way I feel, think and want at any point or moment. Such is what is guarded against, for it is, as has been shared with me at a Benny Ho talk on Wednesday, "Soulishness", that which is not of the Spirit.
Amazing what an old friend's words and a day watching Ultimate can do for the introspection, retrospection and philosophy.

Bones
Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones, as adapted for the screen by Peter Jackson, was the rare film during which I genuinely had nothing I could think of saying during its screening; I set pretty much silent, forming very few thoughtful reactions in my head, leaving finding I was partially unsatisfied, very much a reflection of the day, something I somehow expected a little of. It was saved by excellent company; who I chose to see today is, reflectively, the phase of socio-relational life I'm going through. For more information, see the next few FB photos I'll be tagged in.

3 letters/argh.
This week could not have been longer, and I am praying so hard that tomorrow will pass by quickly, uneventfully, and above all early.
My friends a year older than I am seem to be having the freest time of their lives, and I'm glad to be able to share in a fraction of it; I really cannot imagine what will happen when my batch gets the time to do all this stuff in the last 2 months of 2010 and beyond.

Things to do:
1. Remember to set up facebook event for sunday frisbee
3. Think of what 10 killer hours mean if they were spent with .
2. Apply early for teaching spot @ ACIB starting Jan next year
Peace offering
You who were the last person last weekend have kept me kept me wondering, first with a question and now with a look given at an eavesdropped proposition.
Good morning Saturday.

The Ides of March
There's nothing quite like having the time on a weekday to stop clockwatching and simply Facebook to one's heart's content. The slowest and most desirable way to start the month of March, on a day when it happens to be the second ACS Founder's Day as an alumnus. This is truly going to be a long month. Resounding URGH for good measure.
