i feel AWFULLY cheated..

they're coming like next year or something...

suz/alice/carol/sockhoon...
went to far east flora next to mediacorp studios to get them...
and i was like oh-so-close-to-my-place-let-me-take-them-home, not knowing that
a) cabs are such bitches at 4.53pm, just 7 minutes before the 2-buck surcharge kicks in, so
i was left stranded in the rain till FIVE-OH-ONE where i got a cab and had to pay so much,
b) roses are such bitches, why can't someone just genetically modify them to have no thorns?
i nearly died getting rid of all of the thorns and wrapping them up, and
c) traffic in the morning on a rainy monsoon thursday is such a bitch that it cost me a hell lot
to get to school this morning...
happy teachers' day, you'd better appreciate it

was ill this week, so skipped PE, skipped Tuesday, totalling up to 2&1/2 days of school this week...

week 8 passed by with little hurrah, a week filled with tests stuff...
has the last physics and chem practs ever...
(bio pract was missed coz it was on friday)
not sure if i'll ever be taking those two subjects ever again, so yeah...

took thursday off coz i just needed the break, and unknown to me, friday was called off as a holiday as well...
so 3 days of school...
though i did have to go back on friday for my romeo&juliet oral commentary...
which went well, or so i desperately hope!!

watched the break-up after that with yewjin/mervyn etc...
lunched at thai express (i'm beginning to like it again) and played some stuff at zone x...
shared a really expensive but small ice cream thingy at ben&jerry's post-movie...

i hate relative velocity, i've spent way too many hours on it without understanding...

the lake house was extremely feel good, entrenching my love for sandra bullock!
keanu and her each had their individual break-down-and-cry scenes, which was quite funny...
the one and only down part of the movie was the end - uncontrollable face-sucking is not necessary to make a romance movie romantic, thanks...
oh and i watched it on national day + 1 instead of the day itself coz the tix were all out...
went with xinquan/ronald/yewjin/sean, coz mervyn doesn't like romance movies (whatever!)

had frappes at starbucks before going down to hard rock cafe for dinner...

honestly, the food sucked, save for the desserts...
my 10lb burger seemed to come from an 80-yr-old cow...
and paul got a birthday surprise from the staff...
went to marina's arcade with joan and gang...
tried out paraparaparadise for the first time, which was so unnerving...
played this silly pushing game with paul, and we drew... x)

squash at mervyn's place in simei on friday...
took off for dinner at east point before going to the expo's max pavillion...
untraviolet - how BIG was it!
way larger than sonicfest last year...
didn't really know the first 3 songs, but the rest were familiar tunes...
saw jo/johnson/terrence there with lots of the ip ppl, and jamie called to say she was there too...

had supper changi airport's pacific coffee company with mervyn/yewjin/sean...
spent 2 hours talking till midnight before rushing to tanah merah to take cabs...

its the 3 day national day break, which, for me at least, marks the precursor to the academic apex of the year...
week 8 for my class is crammed with about 6 tests, and from then, 4 weeks to finals...

lunched at nydc wheelock after church with miche as goodbye to korea...
bought paul's birthday gift from zara...

played pingpong at clarence's place with jit on monday...
tennis at sean's place with yewjin&daniel...
going to watch the lakehouse in a while...
